When young people are empowered, communities transform.
From 4 to 5 July 2026 in Ngaoundéré, more than 100 U-Reporters and U-Responders representing all 10 regions of Cameroon came together for the very first National U-Report Bootcamp. Through leadership training, digital communication workshops, child rights education, team-building activities, and community engagement sessions, these young changemakers strengthened their skills and renewed their commitment to making a difference for children and adolescents.
Over two inspiring days, participants deepened their knowledge of children's rights, child protection, civic participation, multimedia storytelling, and responsible digital engagement. They also built stronger connections across regions, shared innovative ideas, and celebrated outstanding U-Report communities.
The Bootcamp concluded with the signing of a commitment charter, reaffirming the determination of young people to use their voices, creativity, and leadership to advance children's rights and contribute to positive change in their communities.
